Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet Pan

Ingredients

  • 13-15 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 3-4 tbsp Olive Oil Extra Virgin
  • 1/3 cup Flour
  • 2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground Pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 420 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Pat all of the drumsticks dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, then add to a large bowl.
  • Once all drumsticks are in a bowl, make sure the skin of the chicken is covering the drumstick, not folded. Toss with olive oil, then add your seasonings and mix until fully coated.
  • Prepare a baking sheet and rack by spraying with oil (with the rack stacked on top of the baking sheet, to allow enough air to circulate around the drumsticks while cooking). Add each drumstick to the pan, then bake for 35 minutes. Remove and flip before baking for the remaining 15 minutes.

Notes

Storage:
  • Place cooled drumsticks in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating:
  • To help maintain crispiness, reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15–20 minutes, or until warmed through. If needed, finish under the broiler for a couple of minutes to re-crisp the skin.
Freezing:
  • Freeze cooled drumsticks in a single layer on a baking sheet until solid, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be frozen for up to 3 months.
  • Thaw overnight in the refrigerator, then reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and hot throughout.
