Very Berry Morning Boost

A vibrant berry smoothie sits on a rustic wooden table in a sunlit backyard, surrounded by fresh ingredients like frozen berries, banana, spinach, and flaxseed, with soft greenery in the background.

Because mornings are better with berries and a little boost.

Some mornings call for caffeine. Others call for berries — lots of them. This smoothie is my answer to rushed breakfasts, half-drunk coffees, and kids who suddenly decide they don’t like toast. It’s creamy, colorful, and surprisingly filling, even if you forget to eat again until lunchtime. I make this one with whatever frozen berries I’ve got stashed in the freezer.

What You’ll Need

  • ½ cup frozen mixed berries
  • ½ banana
  • ½ cup spinach (optional, but great for a green boost)
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • ½ cup oat milk or almond milk
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • A few ice cubes if your berries aren’t frozen (Optional)
  • A splash of orange juice for a little zing (Optional)

How to Make It

  1. Add all ingredients to your blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, about 45 seconds if you’re using frozen berries.
  3. Pour and enjoy right away.

Make ahead Tip

Got berries that are starting to wrinkle in the fridge? Toss them into a freezer bag and save them for this. Waste not, sip more.

Smoothie ingredients neatly arranged on a wooden cutting board in a bright kitchen: a bowl of mixed berries, half a banana, fresh spinach, Greek yogurt, ground flaxseed, and oat milk, with warm sunlight highlighting the natural colors.

Whether you’re powering through school drop-off, squeezing in a quiet moment before the chaos, or just trying to remember if you already had coffee (been there), this Very Berry Morning Boost has your back.

Quick, nourishing, and packed with flavor — it’s one more reason to fall in love with your blender. And if you need one that actually handles frozen fruit, come visit me over at TrueHill Supply.
