Make-Ahead Tips

  • Prep the sauce in advance: Mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, chili garlic sauce, and chicken broth up to 2 days ahead and store it in the fridge in an airtight container.
  • Pre-chop aromatics: Dice the onions, garlic, and green onions ahead of time and store them in airtight containers or resealable bags to make cooking even faster.
  • Batch-cook for the week: Double the recipe and portion it into containers for easy lunches or dinners throughout the week.

Storage & Reheating

Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Freezer: Let the chicken cool completely, then transfer to freezer-safe containers or bags. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.

To Reheat: Warm in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of water or broth to loosen the sauce. Or, microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until heated through.
